Ronnie L. Mikell
January 25, 1950 - June 18, 2008
SAVANNAH – Ronnie L. Mikell, age 58, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. The Savannah native was a survivor of the polio epidemic of the 1950's and he attended Jenkins High School. He was an avid fisherman and was a taxidermist for many years.
Survivors include two uncles, Bernie Lee Proctor and his wife Julia B. Proctor of Savannah, Rev. John Shelton Mikell and his wife Mildred of Statesboro; an aunt, Hazel Overstreet of Fernandina Beach, FL; and several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
